Statement from University of �Ӱ�ԭ�� President
Pat Pitney on the Passing of Don Young

"All of us at the University of �Ӱ�ԭ�� are deeply saddened by the passing of Congressman Don Young and will forever remember him as a man of passion, principle and a patriot who loved his country and who always did what he thought best for �Ӱ�ԭ��. As �Ӱ�ԭ��'s lone congressman for more than a half-century, he once said that only God or the voters would know when his time was up, but until that time came, he would give everything he had to representing our great state.

"As an educator, he understood the power and importance of knowledge. But above all else, he was one-of-a kind, a man who loved �Ӱ�ԭ�� and all that it represented.”
