Public invited to Tuesday evening forum with candidate for ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Interim Chancellor
President Jim Johnsen, in partnership with the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fairbanks, will hold a forum with Dr. Dana Thomas, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Interim Chancellor candidate, at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 in the Schaible auditorium. Employees and members of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ community are welcome to meet Dr. Thomas ask questions and provide feedback to President Johnsen.

Dr. Thomas’ bio, letter of application and curriculum vitae can be reviewed at . On the same page is a submission form to provide feedback on the candidate or to submit a question for possible inclusion during the candidate forum.
If appointed, Dr. Thomas, the former vice president of academic affairs and research, would lead ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ’s 3,400 faculty/staff and 9,800 students for the next 12 months, succeeding Interim Chancellor Mike Powers who steps down August 1.
After a review of nearly a dozen applications, Dr. Dana Thomas was the only candidate submitted for the interim chancellor position. President Johnsen will take into consideration the feedback received and consult with ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ governance before making a final decision by June 30.
