April Jaillet has been appointed the new director of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Career Services, beginning Sept. 22. Jaillet holds two degrees from ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ (BM 2009, MA 2011).

Larry Hinzman to serve as the coordinator for the Arctic Leadership Initiative for the UA system

Hinzman served as the U.S. delegate and President of the International Arctic Science Committee, and as President and founder of the U.S. Permafrost Association and as a member of the National Academies of Sciences Polar Research Board.

Simmons returns to ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ to lead College of Indigenous Studies as interim dean

Simmons, who holds a Master of Arts in Clinical-Community Psychology, brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as a faculty member and senior administrator at ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ. As the former Interior ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Campus director, Simmons oversaw faculty and staff while serving as principal investigator on numerous federal and state grants.

General Counsel Matt Cooper to Depart UA after 13 Years of Service

Hanson and Naylor appointed interim directors of Kuskokwim and Northwest ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ

Minnie Naylor has taken on the role of interim director of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Northwest Campus, while continuing her leadership as director of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Chukchi Campus, a position she has held since Aug. 1, 2022. Haley Hanson has transitioned from assistant director to interim director of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Kuskokwim Campus.
