UA Foundation seeks proposals for 2021 Angus Gavin Memorial Migratory Bird Research Grant

The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Foundation is now accepting proposals for the Angus Gavin Memorial Migratory Bird Research Grant. The $15,000 grant was created in 1983 with gifts from Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), now ConocoPhillips, and ARCO ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æs in honor of Angus Gavin.

UA Foundation seeks proposals for the Harold T. Caven Professorship

The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the Harold T. Caven Professorship. The professorship, which includes a $20,000 budget of $10,000 for two consecutive years, is awarded to a faculty member in business and finance within the university system.

KUAC fall fundraiser goes virtual

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day 2020

Today we recognize ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ's Indigenous tribes with celebrations across our university system in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day. The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ upholds Indigenous Peoples' Day with culturally relevant events in honor of the Indigenous people of this land who have thrived and survived in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ for more than 10,000 years.

852 ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ students receive the $12,000 UA Scholars Award

Every year, more than 300 schools in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ identify the top ten percent of their junior class for the UA Scholar Award, a designation which includes a $12,000 scholarship for use at any University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ campus. As of October 5, 852 students have been named for the prestigious award.

New Legislation Would Provide Greater Fiscal Stability for the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ

U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski, Dan Sullivan, and Rep. Don Young, all R-ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, last week introduced new legislation, the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fiscal Foundation Act, in both the Senate and House of Representatives. The legislation is supported by ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Governor Mike Dunleavy, also R-ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, and would resolve the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ's (University) unfulfilled land grant to help it generate revenues that support its students and operations.
