The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Board of Regents appointed Pat Pitney as the university system’s
17th president on Feb. 25, 2022. She served as interim president since Aug.1, 2020.
Previously Pitney served as the state’s Director of the Division of Legislative Finance. She was the former Vice Chancellor of Administration, University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fairbanks and worked at UA System for 17 years. In all, Pitney spent 23 years with the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ before leaving to serve as the State Budget Director in the administration of former Governor Bill Walker.
