Kerynn Fisher has been appointed the executive officer for the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Board of Regents. This position is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the board, university administration, governmental entities, and the public. The executive officer also plays a crucial role in interpreting and understanding regents' policies, university regulations, and ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ statutes.
Fisher has served as special assistant to University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ President Pat Pitney since October 2020. Prior to 2020, she served as grant coordinator for the Fairbanks North Star Borough. Fisher also worked at ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ for more than 20 years, serving in positions with the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Museum of the North, and KUAC. Fisher has served on the FNSB Planning Commission since 2020.
