University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ adopted new FERPA training
The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ (UA) recently adopted new Family Educational Rights & Privacy
Act (FERPA) training. It is available in the Learning Library at myUA dashboard. All
UA ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æs that work with and/or have access to student records are required to
complete FERPA training when they first join the university system. These same ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æs
are asked to complete FERPA training annually thereafter to refresh their knowledge
and help avoid FERPA violations.
Unlike the prior training, the new FERPA training does not produce a certificate. Completion of FERPA training in the Learning Library is automatically logged in Banner, the university’s student information system.
Contact your University Registrar with any questions or to report a potential FERPA violation.
